Intro

About me
As a poet, designer, and product manager I build and collaborate with creative, empowered, high-performing teams who solve problems and innovate solutions at the intersection of humanity and technology.
My deep experience in UX and Agile guide me to identify and explore opportunities collaboratively and strategically align product, design, and engineering to deliver impactful outcomes.
I’ve leveraged my hands-on abilities for digital product design and UX to establish and evolve design systems, consumer-facing and B2B products. I’ve worked iteratively from concept to prototype to multiple user-facing evolutions and have also designed innovative solutions from zero to one to capitalize on strategic opportunities.
For more than a decade I’ve intentionally pursued collaborative creativity from various angles and roles across multiple industries.
I’m inspired by people who overcome impossible odds to change the course of the future. Empowered product teams pursue data-driven insights to understand problems and iterate solutions.
As a product manager, I’ve leveraged continuous discovery and feedback to nurture teams and cultivate trust, shared vision, creativity, communication, and collaboration that leads to high impact results for customers and businesses.
As a product designer, I’ve established and evolved design systems, set verbal and visual identity direction, and collaborated with teams to operationalize internal practices and systems to deliver external impact with speed, quality, and consistency. I’ve collaborated with engineering teams to align components and patterns between design and code libraries.
I’ve worked with teams across many domains, including Enterprise SaaS software, web and native apps, APIs, cloud services, integrations and partnerships, open source, DevOps, DesignOps, ProductOps, data pipelines, machine learning and AI, device management, tech risk and compliance, and security solutions for visibility, vulnerability management, EDR, and compliance. I've also worked with global nonprofit organizations, NGOs, and academic institutions.
I use a flexible four-step framework to shape my work. It starts with identifying the problem or opportunity. Then we assess our assumptions and understanding in order to determine appropriate and light-weight methods for de-risking those assumptions and learning to understand the underlying factors of the problem/opportunity. Becoming confident in our understanding, we can prioritize by value or impact, hone our problem statement, explore solutions, and prototype and test those solutions to clarify where we should invest greater design and engineering time. Defining how success will be measured, we can then build, deliver and measure that impact, learn, and iterate (if warranted).
Highlighted Strengths
Cross-functional collaboration and execution. Connecting diverse people and ideas and collaboratively building a strategic story is one of my poetic superpowers. I focus on building trust with great communication.
Versatility and what’s next. I have a strong growth mindset, always ready to learn. As a result I’ve honed my own strategic exploration practices that make it possible for me to learn quickly and constantly as we navigate complexity together. This allows me to be successful across many different industries.
Actionable insights. I see how the same principles that make great companies apply to products—strong principles and values, observable data, trusted and actionable insights, strong foundations and infrastructure for empowered decision-making, high performance, and value.
Agile Methodologies. I’ve excelled at implementing and executing Agile (and particularly Scrum) methodologies at multiple fast-paced companies. I’ve performed functions of Product Owner and Scrum Master and am comfortable operating at a high level across those practices and collaborating with others to leverage each other's strengths.
Things are not alright. We must challenge the status quo. Working together, with courage, we create the future.
I find opportunities in the challenges others say are impossible.
Epics and sagas are part of my heritage; so are exploring the unknown, testing beliefs, and making connections between diverse people and ideas.
Epic poets craft songs that inspire others to live a bigger story. Designers create possibility where none existed. Product leaders head into the unknown and turn ambiguity into pathways. I integrate all of these.
